That is the `problem` of having a room full of parts ,
every now and then they add up to "if I put that bit and that lot in that case if should work"
so long as I buy that bit from ebay . . . .
it`s a never ending story of not wanting to chuck stuff out until its dead :-)
And the amount of "dead" or "For parts only" that sell on ebay is incredible .

Before I had an ATI 3850 and that couldn't do anything else than Moo! as that's the last project with an ATI CAL application.

Hellow Link , Did it die or did you give up on it ?
Still got my HD4650`s running , just for the hell of it [on the CAL app]
see how long they last before they die , they should last as I do keep them cool , 70c is not allowed .
ps = thanks for the app.info had to modify it and use it to get the 1.3 app to work on XP32
and for anyone wundering , its an Asus AH4650 in a AGP slot so I have to use old drivers to get it working , anything newer that 12:10 gives "no usable graphics found" or a black screen on bootup .

After the reboot the gpu was missing , boinc startup messages "no useable gpu`s found" so that gave me a clue
so went looking and found that in windows device manager the gpu was disabled , hey wot!! , how did that happen [well its a computer and they sometimes do that stupid stuff]
so re enable it and after watching the screen go black and flash weird stuff , for far longer than was healthy for me and another reboot , it does now work
So back to crunching .

Over the last day or so , unknown to me , my old laptop gpu went mad and started killing work in 12 seconds
648 error workunits by the time I noticed its pending doom
I have stopped it now and am doing a full disk scan just in case its the disk , though a reboot may be all it needs
BUT
Has anyone seen a workunit reissued to the same computer after it got "error while computing"
there are several of them that where reissued to the same delinquent system and it mashed them the second time as well
for instance - https://moowrap.net/workunit.php?wuid=153667905
I know workunits can be reissued to the same system if they get lost in some way
probably a driver crash or the app got in a knot etc
and it was not overheating .

Ooo , Moo is fixed , Thank you :-)
@ noderaser - one reason I like Moo is that I can still run some old though fully working kit here .
Life in project - it could take decades to find the key .
They may have got fusion reactors working first . . . . .

Good idea I have been wondering how we are getting along with this .
I did read somewhere [some internet poo site] that it `could` take `up too` 150 years to crack one of thease
though that's probably only if I use my old AMD K6-2 550 (it is overclocked to 604 MHz :-) it was fast in its day . . . .

I would like to see what actual use of CPU/GPU is per task in resource/task monitor or the like
We could aktualy have a conversation about Moo here on Moo but we would just be talking to ourselves :-)
and what fun would that be
Hellow Greg_BE I know you are out there somewhere

Can you give a link to where you see this
As far as I know tasks never spread across GPU`s
[unless boinc haz a funky crashy moment] ;-)
edit..
Oh , the `teknikaly any topic` page on R@h
https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/forum_thread.php?id=6893&postid=107516
funky stuff
They should rename it "Problems and Technical Issues with BOINC"
