Is there somewhere I can see the progress of this project? As in we've tried x keys out of a possible y. It would be nice to know how much more work is to be done. |

Current progress. As of today, "The odds are 1 in 9,741 that we will wrap this thing up in the next 24 hours. (This also means that we'll hit 100% in 9,741 days at yesterday's rate.)" |

Current progress. Thanks, where did you find that? Stats in the computing menu takes me to a list of pages for user stats. So, looks like we need more power. All my fully functional [1] GPUs are mainly doing Primegrid at the moment, I'll put some over here. [1] I've got a couple which crash tasks from 50% of projects within 5 seconds, yet the other 50% of projects are fine. Very odd. Doesn't seem to depend on VRAM usage either. They will do Einstein, Amicable numbers, and WCG, but not Milkyway, Primegrid, or Moo. |

I have an idea! Since the thing you're looking for is always in the last place you look, let's start at the other end. |

I meant to solve the cipher. But it's rather confusing, I'm crunching for moo, not whatever distributed.net is.Thanks, where did you find that? Stats in the computing menu takes me to a list of pages for user stats.distributed.net -> Statistics -> stats.distributed.net -> RC-72 |

But it's rather confusing, I'm crunching for moo, not whatever distributed.net is.No, you don't crunch for Moo, Moo does not have own scientific research, it's just a bridge to distributed.net for BOINC users for RC5 tasks (and yoyo@home did the same for OGR tasks, but that seems to be completed now). |

Ah ok. Would be nice if the stats were linked to from the Moo page though, since that's where I end up when I click in the Boinc Manager. |

Yes, I agree, a direct link to the current progress either from the "project" menu or a "science" menu (which is missing/disabled here) would be nice to have. |

Current progress. As of today, "The odds are 1 in 20,842 that we will wrap this thing up in the next 24 hours. (This also means that we'll hit 100% in 20,842 days at yesterday's rate.)" As of 2023-04-23 at 23:59 UTC 10.000% of the project has been completed. Thanks to everybody that helped get to this point |

Current progress. So on average it will take 32 years to find it. Why are we bothering? Everybody go find cancer cures on other projects instead of wasting your time here. |

So on average it will take 32 years to find it.At the current rate, yes, but hardware gets faster every day. Why are we bothering? Everybody go find cancer cures on other projects instead of wasting your time here. For me just a backup project for my GPU, which can't run most of the projects, the alternative would be PrimeGrid, but that's pretty much same "useful" math stuff as this here. Unlike PSS from PrimeGrid, this isn't endless at least, so the pile get smaller every day. I agree, that this project doesn't seem to be useful in any way, but that applies to many BOINC projects. Comparred to what some people suggest at WUprop while hunting some worthless badges, at least we know what it is doing and what is more important: we know who runs it. I can also imagine, that some people prefer to "waste their time" here than work for free for the pharmaceutical industry, which will make lots of money once the cure is found. There are different points of view. |

I don't care if the pharmaceutical company makes money, if it means people get cured, it's worth it. What GPU do you have? Most will run Folding@Home to cure cancer. I've even got an RX560 on it (only 2500 GFlops). If it's the GTX 275 I can see in your details, that would be too slow. But you could run it on Einstein or Milkyway. There's GPUGrid for biology, that only uses Nvidias, not sure how fast they have to be. |

Einstein needs more VRAM for FGRPB1G and all other new apps, it would probably work for BRP4, but they removed the CUDA app for that long ago, otherwise that might have been the main project. |

Doesn't Milkyway have stuff available 99% of the time? Actually, Milkyway is best for the old AMDs or the pro cards, with a more sensible DP ratio than Nvidias. I run it on 12 Tahiti cards, 4000 GFlop SP, 1000 GFlop DP. I guess you're running out of things to do with it. I'm surprised such an old card is still going, does it run 24/7? |

Doesn't Milkyway have stuff available 99% of the time?Yes, but sometimes it doesn't, I'm not running huge cache. I guess you're running out of things to do with it. I'm surprised such an old card is still going, does it run 24/7?I got it in November, the previous owner used it just for gaming many years ago, so it's almost new. ;-) Not running 24/7 here either, just when doing other stuff on that computer. Before I had an ATI 3850 and that couldn't do anything else than Moo! as that's the last project with an ATI CAL application. |

I'd forgotten the 10 minute gap every 3 hours problem, but that only happens if you complete a task in under 1.5 minutes, which you maybe don't.Doesn't Milkyway have stuff available 99% of the time?Yes, but sometimes it doesn't, I'm not running huge cache. |

Perhaps I could increase the cache next time I see waiting for validation piling up. |

Before I had an ATI 3850 and that couldn't do anything else than Moo! as that's the last project with an ATI CAL application. Hellow Link , Did it die or did you give up on it ? Still got my HD4650`s running , just for the hell of it [on the CAL app] see how long they last before they die , they should last as I do keep them cool , 70c is not allowed . ps = thanks for the app.info had to modify it and use it to get the 1.3 app to work on XP32 and for anyone wundering , its an Asus AH4650 in a AGP slot so I have to use old drivers to get it working , anything newer that 12:10 gives "no usable graphics found" or a black screen on bootup . |
