Half the link headings on the front web page have changed from English to some other language.

I have not changed any settings it just changed as I was using it last night and has not changed back.

For example

Over 1400 work units in the queue but I can not download any new work. Just says "Got Zero New Tasks", "No Tasks Sent".

Pressing update says "Not requesting any new work", well yes I am.

Conan

(Edit
:-- It took about 4 attempts (1 by me and 3 by the computer) and about 15 minutes to actually get some work.
I now have some so all OK again).

Well if the calculations are correct, a WU takes an average of 9.5 minutes if all is going well on the computer.
There are 1,440 minutes in a 24 hour day.
which is around 150 WUs per day on a dual card machine.
This leaves 375,000 points per day per dual card ATI 5870 machine.

From memory Collatz gave just under this amount and Milkyway is giving about the same amount (to me anyway).

I am quite a ways further back on PG as it suits the Nvidia cards much better (up to 500,000 points on a single Nvidia 570/580 card).

So yes it is a drop but it is still pretty darn good credits for a small amount of time per WU (unless you have the ones taking 2 hours like my single 5870 card use to).

I wont knock an increase back but I can handle the current credit amounts, my RAC is already dropping fast so I will be interested in what it stabilises at.

Observations:

1) The possible options are 0, 1, 2, or 3.

2) Option 3 seems to be the way to go. Clearly for the dual, toss-up with 0 for the single.

3) With option 1, the single card benchmarks WAY faster than the dual.

4) With option 3, the benchmarks are almost identical. How can this be?

A question: Does crossfire on/off make any difference? For those few of you that do NOT have this problem, do you have crossfire turned on or off?

On my dual 5870 card machine I do not have crossfire activated and I am having no trouble with that machine.

It's been a week now, and I am not sure the original question has been answered.

Why is the dual GPU machine slower than the single GPU machine? This was not the case with DNETC. So what needs to be done to fix this problem?

G'Day Zombie67,

I have the exact opposite to yourself.
My dual 5870 cards take 8 to 10 minutes per WU but my single 5870 card takes over 2 hours.

I no longer do Moo on the single card.

I am not sure if this helps but I had to install the SDK and ATI APP versions of the ATI drivers on my machine due to running PrimeGrid. This may be making my cards run normally?
I think I am using Driver Version 11.1.

Don't know about the single card as it may be a motherboard issue due to one PCI-e slot now going faulty, the other is working on Collatz, Milkyway and PrimeGrid with no issues, just not Moo!Wrapper project.
I can not work out why.

The machine with dual cards is an AMD Phenom II 955 and the machine with a single card is an AMD Opteron 285.

The Opteron is a lot slower than the Phenom, this maybe an issue as well.

I have ordered a new motherboard and processor (MSI 890FXA-GD70 and an AMD Phenom II 1100T) which should alleviate the Opteron's slowness issue and hopefully the graphic card issue as well.

When I check Task Manager, I also notice what appears to be very little CPU usage. However this does not improve things on my machine. Work units on my CPUs still run extra long times when Moo!Wrapper is running and the GPU is woefully slow. So I believe that it is still taking a lot of resources I just can't see what they are.

Computer AMD Opteron 285 with 2GB RAM and single ATI 5870 graphics card and ATI 11.1 drivers.
(This setup would run a DNETC@Home WU in about 19 minutes, dual cards half that time but one card went faulty).

Run time for Moo!Wrapper is over 2 Hours per WU.

My AMD Phenom II X4 955 with 4 GB RAM and 2x ATI 5870 cards in it with ATI 11.1 drivers.

Run time is 9 Minutes per WU.

So I can not run this project on a single card computer.

Which ATI drivers do you have ?

If you have the same card, that should be much more quicker.

I am running 8.812 software package version, it works for all other projects.

For the time being I am going to stop running this project as it is making my CPU projects run so slow.
Normally eon2 would only take 7 minutes per work unit, now it is over 40 minutes.
No idea how much longer it will make my Yoyo work run but I have noticed a slow down adding many hours onto a work unit.

I will check back but it is killing my CPU output.
I don't intend to try and allocate 1 core to a GPU project, I want them for my CPU projects.

I will check back a little later.

I have the same card but my work units take over 1 hour to run (over 4,000 seconds run time).
I think mine are looping as they seem to run the same thing 4 or 5 times.

I hope for shorter work units and from that more would be nice.

Having an Avatar would be nice as well, I can't set mine so has this feature been disabled?

I can add a signature OK.

I am unable to upload an Avatar image, just get a blank page saying 'Done'.

The CPU usage of the GPU application on my machine is running at 0.92 of a CPU.

This is rather high and taking up a almost a full CPU as well as the GPU.

I run other project on the CPUs and would prefer that the CPU usage was down to under 0.1 of a CPU (0.05 would be better) as most other GPU projects that I run.

Using an Appinfo file would this be possible or are the work units set to use this much CPU and it wont change?

Welcome all to another project to use your GPU cards on. Good news since DNETC went down and it is still a DNETC type project as well (sort of).
