One can set the preferred core for stream and cuda client but not for opencl.
Because of the clients already being old the opencl client chooses the wrong core.

Maybe you can chain multiple instances or divide the workers in groups with each their own proxy?

Interesting, do you have 2 GPU's?

The ati_14 is using the stream client and the opencl+ati_101 uses the opencl client, both for ati/amd GPU's.
