Since They were not matched, a 1070 and 970, I didn't think they were being utilized the best. I tried the ngpus = 1 as well but the times did not line up. 22min for 1 task on both cards. 22 min for each task on d0 AND d1. One card should be faster than the other. If I were to try again I was going to run another client and ignore the 1070 on one, and the 970 on the other to try and get separate tasks on each card. max concurrent just limits the number of active tasks per client for that app. There is a project max concurrent as well. If you want to run 4 CPU threads of one project and 4 of another and force it to be that way, this line can be used instead of letting BM try to manage it. With 2 cards and it set to ngpu = 1 it's never enforced in this situation.

GPU's don't have a way to throttle to something like 50%. It's meant to display images in real time as it gets data. I've seen the lag as well on my iGPU while crunching on a dGPU. It's frustrating. You could set BOINC to not use your GPU while the computer is active.

Seems like it might have been trying to use iGPU instead. I wonder if an exclusion of the iGPU in cc_config for this project would allow it to work with the Intel driver. Some projects do use it.

The 520 client does not detect my AMD RX 570, but the 521 does detect it. I tried to replace the file and it works, but then the project would download the 520 client again replacing the 521 and all my workunits fails. I'm Using the AMD OpenCL version. Also, for some strange reason I had to disable the Intel Graphics as it would run in the Intel GPU instead of the AMD card. It works with my 580 http://moowrap.net/show_host_detail.php?hostid=831265

(Message 7512) Posted 30 Nov 2016 by mmonnin Post: I haven't tried with MOO but some projects have no checkpoints so any pausing resets tasks to 0%. I stopped running Rosetta on my tablet that I bring to work since there were no checkpoints.
