Was getting lot's of work for my 7970 (Link) then it suddenly dried up. I've tried resetting the project, restarting BOINC and rebooting the system. Still no work.

2) Message boards : Number crunching : Is Moo now using CreditNew??? (Message 1250)
Posted 26 Oct 2011 by Fire$torm [BlackOps]
Post:
I saw the RSS news feed of "MOO Wrapper BOINC Server code updated"

Like the title asks, is CreditNew imployed with this itteration of the code?

If this is the case then this is very unfortunate as I will have to detach from this project. Aqua@Home ended ties with BOINC from the blowback they received over this very issue.

So be prepared for some really nasty feedback if you cannot find a way around CreditNew.

Sorry if I have offended you but DA's senseless desire for cross-project & cross-hardware parity is a personal affront to me considering all the time, energy & money I have invested in this hobby. There are many others within the BOINC Community that feel as I do. In the end many projects will suffer because DA has his head stuck way up his (fill in blank).
3) Message boards : News : Unexpected downtime (Message 884)

Post:
The Cache took the strain :) Otherwise no dramas at this end, its kinda what the cache is for anyway.

First significant downtime, that wasnt really an issue due to cache, so the silence on the Boards is not remarkable, could even say it was a testiment of trust that it would get sorted as any downtime is so rare.

Queue flood of posts yelling "not for me it wasnt" rofl ...... Murphy and I can be close aquaintences at times :)

Personally I'd say take a bow, not a slap round the head :)

And thx for an honest report on the why. Good job.
4) Questions and Answers : Windows : Stuck all night.....8 hours wasted. (Message 721)

Here is my 2 cents worth....

My System
Core i7 920@2.7Ghz
Sapphire HD 5830 w/Zalman VF300: Core clk-950Mhz, Mem clk-900Mhz
Windows 7 Home Premium x64
AMD Catalyst v11.5
MSI Afterburner v2.0.0
BM v6.10.58

Starting crunching Moo again and after the first 24 hours not a single issue. GPU temp hovers between 55~59C.

I think Zydor is correct. If you are OC your GPU(s) and having issues with Moo, try resetting all clks to stock and run for a day. Then try upping clks like 10~20Mhz and run for another day. Keep doing this until you encounter problems or hit your GPU OC limit.

Also GPU temp(s) can be an source of problems. The hotter a processor runs, the more likely it can generate errors.
