Hi, I've seen in the logs that some of you don't get your Distributed.net ID set correctly and end up using a fall-back ID of the client. This means that while you should get credit here (and any work you do counts) you won't get stats in the Distributed.net site. If this bothers you and want a immediate fix, then please visit project preferences (http://moowrap.net/prefs.php?subset=project) to set one. By default it should use and show your email address (do heed the warning there, though) but you can change it there. I'd need to figure out why this preference doesn't always get set (my guess is that one needs to visit the pref page) and if there's a way to make sure it's set. Otherwise, I'd need to handle this case in wrapper or somewhere. But for now, I think workaround (visit the page) is enough. This is why there's following error in the stderr output of some results, in case anybody is wondering: * ========================================================================== * The client is not configured with your email address (distributed.net ID) * Work done cannot be credited until it is set. Please run 'dnetc -config' * ========================================================================== BTW, what do you think about this preference? Bad idea that should be removed (in favor of something default constructed from your user name and project URL) or good one that should get fixed. :) -w |

Having an Avatar would be nice as well, I can't set mine so has this feature been disabled? I can add a signature OK. I am unable to upload an Avatar image, just get a blank page saying 'Done'. Conan |

and of course we need to be able to configure core-selection.. Yes, too, waiting for core selection. On my HD 5850 core is the best No. 3 (IL-4 pipe cs-1). Lower power consumption and better response of the system. |

Hi, Hi, I think this setting should be removed! Otherwise the user/team gets credits twice, in moowrap and distributed.net. There are stats pages (e.g. dc-vault) where team in all distributed computing projects (Boinc and non-Boinc based) are compared. There the user/team credits would be counted twice. This is unfair! yoyo |

I like the possibility to link my BOINC account to the distributed.net one. Thank you :) It was missing in the DNETC@home wrapper :( |

I've set the distributed.net ID few days ago. It was working fine on almost all the tasks done in windows. but in my first Linux unit, i've noticed, the d.net's ID seems to be ignored. See the task: http://moowrap.net/result.php?resultid=57446 (you can see) ========================================================================== * The client is not configured with your email address (distributed.net ID) * Work done cannot be credited until it is set. Please run 'dnetc -config' * ========================================================================== Could it be a bug in the new Linux client? |
