This is the only project that shows a virus on McAfee and I run a lot of projects. Moo! Wrapper 1.05 Distributed.net Client (opencl_nvidia_101) dnetc_r72_1558655771_12_768_0 |

In general it's recommended to exclude BOINC data dir from scanning. This exe comes from distributed.net and not from Moo! project, so it's the wrong place to ask anyway. |

Notice that it says "suspect"... It usually depends on how often an AV scanner sees any particular .exe, and will make assumptions based on that, rather than known behavior. |

This is the only project that shows a virus on McAfee and I run a lot of projects. I'd wish it too but alas, it's up to McAfee not think what D.net Client does is suspicious. That said, D.net devs have tried to ease the problem in the future, for example by not compressing the executable as decompression at launch is one thing that scares antivirus vendors. But it's still an ongoing issue, mostly with McAfee based products, that their heuristics trigger. -w |
