Most "framers" struggle to make a living farming these days because wholesale prices are so low. Plots? You's deen a field to size of Kansas to make any real money, and foodstuffs pay least of all. Many UK framers have turned their fields over to rapeseed. And they stink to high heaven. We are talking Mongolia here not the UK, they have lots of people that barter for stuff so 'making money' isn't the real object here, it's providing a food source for those that don't have the resources to grow enough on their own. And then to provide 'resources' thru bartering to the farmers so they have stuff too. |

Mongolia contains very little arable land, as much of its area is covered by grassy steppe, with mountains to the north and west and the Gobi Desert to the south. I wouldn't know about corruption there, but if it is rife then the Pareto rule applies. 80% of the wealth will be owned by 20% of the people. 2012 report Winning! I iz also got icons! |

Mongolia contains very little arable land, as much of its area is covered by grassy steppe, with mountains to the north and west and the Gobi Desert to the south. EXACTLY why we are fencing it off into farm land size chunks!! The farmers can then improve the land and make money off of it. Old man the bartering was just a thought, they can sell, barter or even give away the stuff they grow, that's not my choice. The farmers will have to pay a small fee to farm the land though, if they don't pay the land will go to someone else who will. I am now winning!! |

The farmers will have to pay a small fee to farm the land though, if they don't pay the land will go to someone else who will. The UK had that Manorial system in the middle ages, with freemen, serfs, and Villeins. Often the worker was paid in kind with food and other goods, with money never changing hands. And of course the barter system. Er it is the 21C isn't it? Taps ones watch .... Are we winning in all parts of the world? |
