Thanks Teemu. I'll wait for the new app builds, then try again. |

I have two similar desktops. They are 4 core AMD 64 CPUs with NVidia cards running Linux Mint 13 (an Ubuntu fork). I left them both open to Moo! during the recent outage. The newer AMD with the older NVidia card (a GTS 250) picked up units and executed them, getting "Completed and validated". The older AMD with the newer NVidia card (a GTX 650 ti) also picked up new units, but gets "Error while computing" (on 39 units in a row. Yikes.). Example unit: 30835451 One of the comments is "Unable to initialize CUDA." That's fatal. This card is computing units for other projects, such as POEM and SETI Astropulse. It has produced Moo! units, though not since April. One thing that might be happening is that the GTS 250 is using a newer Nvidia driver. I recently had card problems and updated the driver. The newer GTX 650 ti has a driver that was new in January 2014, as part of a Linux upgrade. It's a real PITA to update the driver under Linux. What i'd like to know is if this seems likely or unlikely. I may not be able to do it for weeks or months. |
