I have a friend that adds a little honey to his whiskey when his throat is sore too, he swears by it! He says the whiskey kills the germs, which it does, and the honey coats the throat, which it also does. Kind of like Nyquil but cheaper! I hope you feel better soon!!

Thanks for your concern. I normally wrap myself in a blanket together with a bottle of nice singel malt. I also use a straw for the bottle. You are not getting better, but it is more nice to be sick. I will take a plain whisky and add some nice honey for the throat. I will come back later on with some reports of this event. By the way WINNING!

Last night was a disaster, I was just coughing all the time, but still winning!

You could also try propping up the head of your bed, either thru a couple of blocks or even putting your shoes under the head of the mattress. We cough because stuff gathers in our throat, this happens more often if we are semi flat, that is kind of why in old time America, ie George Washington times, they had lots of pillows on the beds. George Washington was NOT a short guy but his bed is only about 5 feet tall, he slept in a semi sitting position, leaning back position.

I´ve already arranged that halflying halfsitting so I managed to get some sleep last night. Now my left eye is attacked by the germs and it is itching like h..ll. I have some eyewater to ease off a little. Still WINNING!
