A couple of my boxes got bad work units over the weekend. Now every time they try to get new work, the server sends a message that they have already received their daily quota of 2 work units for the day? Any way to fix this?
If your not crunching with us, what do you do with your free time?

did you try to reset the project?
Maybe to fully detach and re-attach to that project?

If both are not working, we'll investigate more to fix that problem for ya.

Thanks

Yes, detached and reattached, with no luck. Ever since my machine sent back some computation errors, I have not been able to get work. Says I reached my limit of 2 tasks per day.

Hi,

This works as designed since bad work units are supposed to lower the daily quota. Once a system returns valid work units again, the quota should start to increase slowly.

You do have the two work units on your host and they are been crunched?

Looks like the last time my machine crunched OK was the 7th. Everything erroring out since then. Not sure why since I'm using the new version. Might be similar to my son's problem with BOINC 6:10:18. Will try a newer version after work today.

Over 1400 work units in the queue but I can not download any new work. Just says "Got Zero New Tasks", "No Tasks Sent".

Pressing update says "Not requesting any new work", well yes I am.

(Edit
:-- It took about 4 attempts (1 by me and 3 by the computer) and about 15 minutes to actually get some work.
I now have some so all OK again).

You have even number of devices so it's possible scheduler didn't find any such work for you. New huge work units will mostly contain 12 packets so this shouldn't happen anymore, at least not that often. So once new work was generated there was some to send to you also and that explains why this "corrected itself".

It's possible I need to ease this packet matching (but not size matching) to only prefer and not demand same number of packets and devices. That way you should at least get some work to crunch on..
