hi, we are proud to support all GPUs. Any ATI and nVidia cards are supported on windows and Linux (32 or 64 bits). Is there any platform that you wanted to be supported? Teemu and I were discussing about not supporting CPUs, since the work generated on CPUs is "too low" vs GPUs. An i7 2600K get like 8 Millions keys/sec while an ATI 4870 does about 550 millions keys/sec. We prefer working on GPU platforms. So, do you think we should support CPUs too? |

I do, because I run mostly Windows and I prefer to have the client running as a service, which makes the client unable to get to the GPU on Windows Vista and 7. TIA |

Darwin support with CUDA should be _easy_ to do. Stay tuned. |

Any possibility of having the CPU client over here too? As I said, I don't have any GPU that qualifies for BOINC. |

Any possibility of having the CPU client over here too? As I said, I don't have any GPU that qualifies for BOINC. A CPUs represent a really low processing unit for RC5-72 vs a GPU. Our effort is to stabilize everything with GPUs at the moment. CPU units will become available soon. I would say version 1.03 or 1.04 is more realistic. |

Hello has all A use of the cpu is going to use 100 - 150 WAT, and a gpu is 60 has 100 times as successful for the same power. Kind regards Serge Varin |

My 6950 does about 1700 millions keys/sec... if the best cpu out there make like only 8 millions k/sec... |

CPU units will become available soon. Please ensure that CPU work can be enabled/disabled the same way as the GPUs can be. I think it is a fine idea to add CPU support, but personally I want to run only on GPU here. |

Please ensure that CPU work can be enabled/disabled the same way as the GPUs can be. Sure, that's a default feature of BOINC server software. I think it defaults to on so people might get some CPU units until they can disable it. There might be a way to disable CPU using work preference so people not wanting CPU crunching should do so. I'm gonna deploy CPU crunchers any day now. -w |
