When OpenCL is implemented in the client, and my pocket book allows, then an OS upgrade from 32bit XP Pro to 64bit Win 7 and an HD7950 will be considered. |

I just moved my 6950 card to an older machine and put a new 7950 in the prime computer and discovered this projects WUs now all die on the 7950 card. So its effecting the 7950 as well as the others mentioned before. My 6950 is still my main Moo project credit earner. What a pity? It works AOK almost everywhere else except one or two I don't get WUs very often on. If you pick one that has some good support from its users you should be able to get a good app_info.xml file and run multiple units at the same time. WCG would NOT be one of those as it JUST started using the gpu for crunching and I have not seen an app_info yet. The 79?? cards WILL run at WCG, but you are most likely on your own for running multiple units at once though. |

I guess I spoke too soon. Since installing the 7950 in the new machine, I moved the old 6970 to a secondary machine. Now not getting any work for my 6970 either at Moo. Looks like server stats says WUs are available. So I'm now completely locked out of getting AMD work period from Moo. But since the server stats doesn't show NVIDIA and AMDs available as two separate numbers, it's hard to tell if they just don't have any AMD WUs now. The only other thing I can think of is that the 6970 was updated to AMDs latest driver (1.4.1741) which is the same driver the 7950 uses. Could it be the driver that dropped the 6970 support for Moo? I had this problem on ONE pc and fixed it by running this app_info.xml file: <app_info> <app> <name>dnetc</name> <user_friendly_name>Distributed.net Client</user_friendly_name> </app> <file_info> <name>dnetc_wrapper_1.3_windows_intelx86__ati14.exe</name> <executable/> </file_info> <file_info> <name>dnetc518-win32-x86-stream.exe</name> <executable/> </file_info> <file_info> <name>dnetc-gpu-1.3.ini</name> </file_info> <file_info> <name>job-ati14-1.00.xml</name> </file_info> <app_version> <app_name>dnetc</app_name> <version_num>102</version_num> <platform>windows_intelx86</platform> <avg_ncpus>0.050000</avg_ncpus> <max_ncpus>0.895864</max_ncpus> <plan_class>ati14</plan_class> <flops>1157115231469.729200</flops> <api_version>7.0.8</api_version> <file_ref> <file_name>dnetc_wrapper_1.3_windows_intelx86__ati14.exe</file_name> <main_program/> </file_ref> <file_ref> <file_name>dnetc518-win32-x86-stream.exe</file_name> <copy_file/> </file_ref> <file_ref> <file_name>dnetc-gpu-1.3.ini</file_name> <open_name>dnetc.ini</open_name> <copy_file/> </file_ref> <file_ref> <file_name>job-ati14-1.00.xml</file_name> <open_name>job.xml</open_name> <copy_file/> </file_ref> <coproc> <type>ATI</type> <count>1.000</count> </coproc> <gpu_ram>262144000.000000</gpu_ram> </app_version> </app_info> I have TWO AMD 5770's in this pc and it runs TWO units at once, each taking just under an hour. All my other pc's got work just fine, I have NO IDEA why it worked but it did. |

wondering if admins are ever going to fix it so 7xxx can run moowrapper Sure, OpenCL beta client is out from upstream that at least runs on 7xxx cards. I just need to find some time to prepare a beta apps for it, which has been problematic ever since I started my full time job. Now that the holiday season has started I'd hope to be able to find that time. And my top priority is to first deploy the OpenCL app for 7xxx users and then to fix the multiple GPU problems. -w |

First of all I want to apologize for my English which is very bad :D Must retrieve the new customer betatest this link http://www.distributed.net/Download_prerelease - Choose the version according to the operating system of course - Unzip the folder in the Moo wrapper - Change "app_info.xml" in this way <app_info> <app> <name>dnetc</name> <user_friendly_name>Distributed.net Client</user_friendly_name> </app> <file_info> <name>dnetc_wrapper_1.3_windows_intelx86__ati14.exe</name> <executable/> </file_info> <file_info> <name>dnetc.exe</name> <executable/> </file_info> <file_info> <name>dnetc-gpu-1.3.ini</name> </file_info> <file_info> <name>job-ati14-1.00.xml</name> </file_info> <app_version> <app_name>dnetc</app_name> <version_num>103</version_num> <platform>windows_intelx86</platform> <avg_ncpus>0.5</avg_ncpus> <max_ncpus>0.763151</max_ncpus> <plan_class>ati14</plan_class> <api_version>7.0.28</api_version> <flops>673508187605.180540</flops> <file_ref> <file_name>dnetc_wrapper_1.3_windows_intelx86__ati14.exe</file_name> <main_program/> </file_ref> <file_ref> <file_name>dnetc.exe</file_name> <copy_file/> </file_ref> <file_ref> <file_name>dnetc-gpu-1.3.ini</file_name> <open_name>dnetc.ini</open_name> <copy_file/> </file_ref> <file_ref> <file_name>job-ati14-1.00.xml</file_name> <open_name>job.xml</open_name> <copy_file/> </file_ref> <coproc> <type>ATI</type> <count>1</count> </coproc> <gpu_ram>262144000.000000</gpu_ram> </app_version> </app_info> - and finally change "job-ati14-1.00.xml" like this <job_desc> <task> <application>dnetc.exe</application> <checkpoint_filename>chkpoint</checkpoint_filename> <command_line>-ini dnetc.ini -runoffline -multiok=1</command_line> </task> </job_desc> Sincerely yours... |

First of all I want to apologize for my English I got this to work, but a bit wrong. This machine has an ATI and Nvidia graphics cards. The program runs now Nvidia card, not the ATI card at all. I do not know what I've done wrong. |
