don't run more than 1 gpu in a box or your just wasting your time moo uses both of my 6950's to do 1 wu but takes over a hour to do 1 wu where my single gpu does a wu in 31 minutes .this is a problem from dnutz that was never fixed so sorrry to say goodbye but no more moo for me until you get a app or a fix for it

I run 2 boxed - one with an HD5850 and the other with an HD5970 (equicalent to 2 x HD5850 on one PCIe slot.

The HD5850 takes an average of 2250 seconds for 6,500 WUs, and the HD5970 takes 1120 seconds (half the time from 2 GPUs. Moo! uses all GPUs available to crunch WUs, and the more GPUs the shorter the time Moo! takes to crunch that WU.

Unfortunately it is NOT a "problem" it is a design feature! It is designed to see if every gpu in a machine can be used to crunch a single workunit, much like a Cray or or other super computer, as opposed to each gpu working on its own unit like most projects.

Not true - they did one in 49 mins and another one in 41 mins according to your task list after you abandoned the others at 1310.

I strongly suspect a hardware configuration problem - possibly not terminating the second gpu or no crossfire link.

There is no issue with two cards running Moo - there are dozens doing it as a routine.

G'Day Scott,

Had a look at some of your returned results which are on an AMD Phenom II 1090 and it appears that one reason that the work units are taking so long is that the "a" card is doing all the work.
On the longer running jobs "a" is processing 9 stat units whereas the "b" card is only doing 3 stat units.
The number of Million keys per second is also very low on these long tasks which range from 2,450 seconds to over 8,000 seconds.

I also had this problem once with both DNETC and MOO which came good after I made a lot of adjustments but which one fixed it I am not sure. I think mine was mainly a heat issue due to how close my cards where together, so I added another fan and moved the cards apart.

So there is a possibility it is heat related, which causes the card to throttle itself back in speed both GPU and Memory.

Slow times can also be caused by lack of CPU time (this is also an issue with me as depending on the project I run my run times can double if they don't release the CPU for a small time for the GPU to use).

Memory issues can also be a hassle if the CPU is using all available memory then the GPU which still has to use a small amount of Computer RAM, has to sit and wait till some is available before working again.

So something to consider.
I am running dual cards in two computers and they are working well.

Hope this can help.

What are the GPU and memory settings on the cards?

What is the make and rated output of the PSU?
