I agree with Zy, I think you may have overclocked it too much. My cards default speeds are 725Mhz/1000Mhz and I run it at 775Mhz/500Mhz. The OS is Win 7 64 bit, and I use CCC 11.10. I've temporarily unhidden my computers, and you will see that your card is running at 1/2 the output mine is. TRy Zy's tip and if it doesn't work try re-installing CCC. I iz also got icons! |

I was my GPU setup to 775/1000 or 725/1000 and no change with WU time. I don´t have problem with frequency. I have problem with Moo. I test it with suspended work on CPU and running only Moo and still have long time WU. So i will crunch 1M on it and suspend it. Better run Milkyway&Collatz wich works fine on my system. Maybe with different card will be ok. Thanks for help guys, but still don´t know how is possible to compute WU fast (2000sec) and some hours later i have big time on the same settings. |

Well we did what we could to help. Your latest workunit is only 2000 secs! Which is bang on what a 5850 should do, provided it has 1 CPU core available to support it. |

Last maybe, but now i have WU with time is 7000sec and it is strange. Same setting, and have two different times. |

Is the Moo work unit getting enough CPU? If you are running other projects on the computer and they don't release the CPU for Moo to grab a few seconds then the WU on the GPU gets very slow. I run a lot of different projects and use all cores to do so. I also run my GPU projects on the same computers. Depending on which projects are running my GPU times increase from 800 to 900 seconds per WU (dual 5870 cards) to as high as 2200 seconds or more. So instead of running around 13 to 15 minutes per WU it gets as high as 40 minutes, due to the fact that it is not getting access to the CPU. So this could be the problem. Conan |

I'm sure that the CPU is the key here. On your 2000 sec workunits you have a cpu time of 17 sec or so, on the 7000 sec workunits your time is roughly 58 secs. My times for 2200 sec workunits average out at 35 secs. I wonder what brand of 5850 card you have? |

Well, certainly temperature won't be a problem! I see that your results are still a bit up and down in timings, but now and again it does work as it should do. Still think it's not enough CPU time. |
