Not receiving work
(Message 3115)
Posted 4 May 2012 by DigitalDingus Post: Haven't been getting any work over the last three or so days. Is Moo! tied with Catalyst drivers? Because I'm only running MSI Afterburner with 11.5 drivers in it. |

Any HD 6970 users out there?
(Message 3076)
Posted 21 Apr 2012 by DigitalDingus Post: Just wanted to update on my issues with my 6970 from some other threads--and thought I would post them here. Everything is running ok. Not sure exactly why, however. But I changed BOINC to "Run As Administrator". I also uninstalled Catalyst and use MSI Afterburner. Might try to install catalyst again, but don't see a point at the moment. |

Windows 7 x64 Ultimate: Exactly where should Moowrap be installed?
(Message 3056)
Posted 16 Apr 2012 by DigitalDingus Post: So, I'm thinking I may have some permissions problems lately, but I was wondering where most of you who use Windows 7 Ultimate x64--where is your moowrap folder installed? X:\BOINC\ or X:\Program Files or X:\Program Files (x86). Trying to troubleshoot my issues lately. For some reason, my machine has been crashing too often. Had a -108 error and a number of couldn't start Can't link input file: 2 errors. |

7970s Dont Run
(Message 3046)
Posted 13 Apr 2012 by DigitalDingus Post: FYI, my Windows x64 Ultimate system is crashing using my 6970. Something has changed over the last few months as it's gotten worse. I'm having to drop Moo! altogether for now and using Collatz & YoYo with no problems. Moo! has been crashing within 30secs of application start. |

Moo tasks ignore BOINC CPU preferences
(Message 3035)
Posted 10 Apr 2012 by DigitalDingus Post: This might explain my computer crashing lately with other CPU work. Thought it was the nVidia drivers, but after uninstalling them, I still get "hickups" and have to reinstall BOINC and wipe all WU's completely. "0.05 CPUS + 1 ATI GPU" is what I show on BOINC, but it seems it's taking more than that and cuts into the other BOINC CPU workload, causing a crash. |

Big WU´s
(Message 2989)
Posted 4 Apr 2012 by DigitalDingus Post: Are fragmented WU rearing its ugly head again?? Too bad we can't give the small WU's to people who just joined. Then after 3 months or so, they pass the "initiation phase". |

Non-GPU Computation Errors
(Message 2964)
Posted 28 Mar 2012 by DigitalDingus Post: Aghh! Found out it was a driver conflict issue. I'm running an nVidia 9600 GSO with my 6970. Was working just fine for several months but something went wrong at some point. Gonna have to troubleshoot this but after uninstalling the nVidia drivers, the 6970 is doing fine so far... |

Non-GPU Computation Errors
(Message 2953)
Posted 27 Mar 2012 by DigitalDingus Post: I've been having problems the last few weeks, myself. PC will just "hibernate" and can't get back into any programs. Have to manually reboot the PC. I'm using the latest BOINC version, and will see about "updating" as noted above. Originally, I thought it was YOYO, but took everything out and left just the GPU and Moo. Some of the error messages I found: <core_client_version>6.12.34</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> couldn't start Can't link input file: 2 </message> ]]> and <core_client_version>6.12.34</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> couldn't start CreateProcess() failed - The system cannot find the file specified. (0x2): -148 </message> ]]> |

App_info..xml
(Message 2675)
Posted 15 Feb 2012 by DigitalDingus Post: Not sure I understand, but this app_info.xml file is for running two WUs on 1 GPU, so you need to have it at .5 versus "1" which will probably cause the crash you're talking about? |

(Message 2668)
Posted 15 Feb 2012 by DigitalDingus Post: That's why I prefer XFX over Sapphire. XFX has a lifetime warranty and even adds another lifetime warranty for a potential additional owner. Sapphire is only 2 years and does not allow warranty transfers. |

Posted 3 Feb 2012 by DigitalDingus Post: Maybe we could have different-colored little cow thingies? :) 10,000 = White Cow 100,000 = Brown Cow 1,000,000 = Blue Cow 10,000,000 = Red Cow add the different colors of cows for the appropriate score. Like 10,100,000 would be a red cow + a brown cow. :) |
