Hello.

I'm crunching using one host on this project and as you can see at the time of writing have a RAC of over 300,000 and climbing quickly
but you wont find my host on the top hosts pages on this website even though my host is listed in my team with the correct stats

is there some problem with the database that i keep vanishing from the top host list ?
has anybody else notice their single largest crunching host is not listed either ?

hi,

thanks vaio unfortunately i cant see you listed their either unless your rising or falling the host position and its not caught up yet

more interesting for me is I've now appered at position 29 in the lists
last time i saw myself i was in 80th two days ago then i vanished

maybe i'm climbing to quickly up the list ?

yes i know thats not the reason but its about all i can come up with lol

anybody else have this problem or not have this problem ?

Hi,

I can see that your host is now at position #8 so I take this has fixed itself? Listing is based on RAC so any changes in that could affect your daily position in the listing.

thanks i think what was going on was that i was making such big jumps in rac that maybe i got kind of lost in the updating of the pages
think now that i'm on the first page and still climbing that the rise should slow down a bit and i wont disapear again

Yes both host and participant entries can disappear or appear twice. This may happen when host or participant has moved from one page to another, depending on when the different webpages update. Probably affects teams listing sometimes too but the team positions don't move around as much so it would be relatively rare.

Disappearance may happen when the page you or your computer has moved from has updated so you are no longer listed there and the page you are moving to has not yet updated so you are not listed there yet. If the page you have moved to is the first to update this may result in a multiple appearance. If you in a position close to a multiple of 20 which is the size of a page and move from one page to another often, you can disappear or appear twice many times.

This is a longstanding BOINC foible I first noticed a fair while ago. It think it affects all BOINC projects that use the standard BOINC stats reporting format. When missing from the list when ranked by RAC you should still be listed when it is ranked by Total credit and vice versa.
