If you only need a chat with good privacy it's definitly better than discord. The problem is that I'm sick of Project Admins/Devs not given a shite about the volunteers who do the work for them. Also sick of people defending these absentee Admins/Devs. And what does IRC have to do with that? I agree the project is dead there a no excuses. Unfortunately there are only a few good projects like numberfields@home :(
