No issue now. It was a one time thing, hopefully.

It *IS* surprising to have such a low trigger. Most projects use 100 or 1000.

From which computer ID do you get this error?
You can look at http://moowrap.net/hosts_user.php?userid=483 for list.

Thanks

Well, it happens to any machine where I abort 20 tasks or more. In this case it is this one:

http://moowrap.net/show_host_detail.php?hostid=118

P.S. Your spam filter is too strong. It thinks a link to this same web site is spam. I had to post without the link, and then edit the post to add the link, to work around it.

What if you have more than one system running different cards and core 1 is best on one card core 2 on the other etc etc... shouldn't that be set per card, not at the project level?

That is what you use the different locations for. For example, you can have for example, Home (with "3") for 5870s, and Work (with "1") for my 4870s. Then assign the machines to the locations accordingly.

So I did the bench test and found core 3 was significantly faster. As such I configured the app to use core 3. From the results since I made that configuration change the core setting seems to be ignored at the app continues to use core 0

You have to configure it in your project preferences page, here at the project. If you configure it from the command line, it gets over-written by the project preferences with the next task.

Darwin support with CUDA should be _easy_ to do.
Stay tuned.

Any news?

Cross-project credit parity is impossible. There is no such thing as "fair" credit value. As long as the credit within a project remains consistent, it's all good.

FWIW, I am seeing only ~21% load on one card, and ~54% load on the other.

Looks like it might be a HW issue, that never exposed itself on DNETC, but does here. I will report back in several days.

4) With option 3, the benchmarks are almost identical. How can this be?

A question: Does crossfire on/off make any difference? For those few of you that do NOT have this problem, do you have crossfire turned on or off?

I added the jumper and turned on crossfire. No change to benchmarks at all.

FWIW, I am seeing only ~21% load on one card, and ~54% load on the other.

Okay, I finally had time to run the -bench test. Here are the results for the two machines in question:

Observations:

1) The possible options are 0, 1, 2, or 3.

2) Option 3 seems to be the way to go. Clearly for the dual, toss-up with 0 for the single.

3) With option 1, the single card benchmarks WAY faster than the dual.

4) With option 3, the benchmarks are almost identical. How can this be?

So can the different values/formulas be posted? Also, do they end at 10? Or more? What is the range?

It's been a week now, and I am not sure the original question has been answered.

Why is the dual GPU machine slower than the single GPU machine? This was not the case with DNETC. So what needs to be done to fix this problem?

Thanks for the answer, but I am not sure what to do with the answer: -1 should be best, but maybe not.

Yes, I can look at the performance of a particular task, but that does not tell me how "good" that performance is, or how it would have compared to the exact same task with a different value. How do I know this?
