Adreno iGPU support (Snapdragon laptops)
(Message 8759)
Posted 11 May 2026 by Ncard00 Post: Can somebody please make a custom .exe and app_info.xml file for me to test the Adreno X2-90 iGPU in my new X2 Elite Extreme laptop? And if possible, please also do this for the CPU, so ths project can get Native Windows 11 ARM64 CPU and Adreno iGPU support :) Also, currently getting 18 concurrent tasks, all running, but they are stuck at 4,779% completion, why? |

Testing Intel 18A / Xe3 (Arc B390) Throughput on RC5-72
(Message 8738)
Posted 16 Jan 2026 by Ncard00 Post: Hi everyone, I’m currently planning a "Green Crunching" upgrade to an 80W Intel Panther Lake Mini PC, which I expect to have in hand by early February. I’m very curious to see how the Xe3 architecture (Arc B390) performs on Moo! Wrapper. Since the RC5-72 challenge is heavily dependent on integer and bitwise operations, the 18A node's efficiency and the redesigned Xe3 Vector Engines should provide a significant leap in "Keys per Second" compared to the older Xe-LP and Xe2 iGPUs. I’ll be running 64GB of DDR5-9600 to ensure there are no memory bottlenecks during high-throughput crunching. Once the hardware arrives in Denmark, I'll post my dnetc benchmark results here. Does anyone have baseline data for the Battlemage lineage on this project yet? |

WU size option
(Message 8694)
Posted 18 Jun 2025 by Ncard00 Post: Fair enough, but I would still really like to be able to manually choose between these WU sizes, and since this is the "wish list" category, I'm just providing this feedback here, and then eventually, something or nothing comes of it, that's up to the project to decide :) Not to mention that my Mac is running these WU's through Rosetta 2, which will be discontinued in a few years, besides for Mac gaming, they're currently not running natively, which hurts performance. So with native support, I might very well be able to do bigger tasks in a resonable amount of time, and especially more powerful Apple Silicon Macs like the Mac Studio with Max and Ultra chips. |

WU size option
(Message 8692)
Posted 18 Jun 2025 by Ncard00 Post: In the project settings, please add the 4 WU options "tiny, small, normal, and huge", and allow the user to check/uncheck what size WU they wanna do. Most other projects with multiple applications/WU sizes have this, and it would be really benefitial to low end devices, so they can crunch smaller WU's instead of big ones. Or even just for powerful CPU's like my M4 in my base M4 Mac Mini, It's a lot more satisfying crunching a lot of small WU's than waiting many hours for big ones. |

Computation error
(Message 8683)
Posted 24 Apr 2025 by Ncard00 Post: Well, if this error cannot be fixed, there BOINC app should hide this project from project list, if the app is installed on phones with Android 9 or later, or whatever version this doesn't work above, so people don't waste their time trying to make something work that doesn't work anyway. |

MacOS Apple Silicon ARM support?
(Message 8674)
Posted 27 Feb 2025 by Ncard00 Post: But then you adapt to that new reality if/when it happens, right now there is a massive unused potential, cause Apple Silicon doesn't show up on the applications page, which means nobidy will with those devices will run the project. Most people won't care or even know that the project is using Rosetta 2, they just wanna run project that works, just like with gaming on Mac, a game that works is good enough. |

MacOS Apple Silicon ARM support?
(Message 8672)
Posted 22 Feb 2025 by Ncard00 Post: Update: Just tried this project anyway on my M4 Mac mini, and I immediately got 10 CPU task, 1 for each one of 10 CPU cores. These were running under Rosetta 2 though, so not native, but still, it works, which means you can add MacOS ARM to the Applications page :) |

Posted 2 Jan 2025 by Ncard00 Post: In the project tab - "join" page, it says than for Android, you can download BOINC from the google play store, which you cannot. Please instead insert the link to the BOINC website, where the Android client can be downloaded from. |
