AMD 11.6 seems to be Ok on 5XXX
(Message 671)
Posted 19 Jun 2011 by aad Post: Hi, I could't help myself; had to go with this new 11.6 set. It had no gain for my HD6970 though. On different projects I think the 11.6 build is less stabile. I'll think it's time to roll back to the 11.4 preview I used before! |

Posted 31 May 2011 by aad Post: I found out that the HD4300 is good enough for GPU processing. I can see ATI4 prog running. So case closed for the time being. Thanks for all help. Yes. I can see it in your result pages for your pc. You're actually crunching with CPU AND GPU. see here; http://moowrap.net/results.php?hostid=1593 In the last tab is the application. Where it says "Distributed.net Client v1.02 (ati14)" its the GPU'. "Distributed.net Client v1.02" is for CPU. See the difference in timings! |

ATI HD4300/4500
(Message 544)
Posted 30 May 2011 by aad Post: , but I´m not sure if the GPU is used. How can I follow the process in an easy way? I now realize what the real question is! You can see that in your Windows Task Manager (ctrl, alt&del choose 'processes') In that list you see something starting with 'dnetc_1.02'. If you are using the GPU, there is '_ati14.exe' in that line! If not, I guess you using CPU only... Can you copy the first 30 lines from your BM-message tab? |
