1) Questions and Answers : Windows : error gpu output for dnet absent - AMD 5750 R5 210 (Message 7659)

I am having exactly the same issue, though I have Moo running on an NVIDIA GTX 960 and an AMD Radeon HD 6450. Both run for around a minute and then drop out with the same error as Joss is getting.

What I can add is that this started for me immediately updating to the latest Windows 10 release (Home Version 1703 / Build 15063.296) WHich when I looked more closely had very kindly updated the drivers for the above cards and replaced them with Microsoft ones! I have since updated these drivers to the NVIDIA and AMD ones again, rebooted and cleared all Moo tasks before loading new ones but I still have the error.

This is very frustrating. I can tell you that my current setup does run GPUGrid and Set@Home but I would much rather be running Moo at the moment.

Any suggestions anyone.

However, don't you believe it would be nicer to have applications working properly on all GPU's (i.e. without app_info etc for 7950,7970, R9, ...)rather than badges ?

That's indeed "nicer", that's why the badges are the stock ones as they were easy to just enable. :) Even if changing badges and implementing new/different ones is not top priority, it's good to have recommendations/suggestions bouncing around.

At the moment I'm working on getting the wrapper refreshed so I can deploy the newer Dnet Clients that should fix various problems. Including getting an OpenCL app out that should work much better on newer cards. At least stability wise, if not necessarily performance.

So 8 or 9 months of patient waiting later and still no badges!

Excellent work there scole. I would be proud to have any of these badges.
C'mon admins. Mooove things along here, grab the bull by the horns and lasso this thing, and I reckon it would start a stampede at Moo! Udderwise you could miss out.
(I reckon the power of bad puns and moo related comments - if everyone joined in - could achieve something here!)

Nope, I -and many fellow badge hunters- do not hunt temporary badges, especially not the generic kind where you cannot distinguish one project from another.

I couldn't agree more. I think badge hunters want a badge to keep. Something to recognise what they have done, not necessarily what they are currently doing. Though by all means do both if you want to.

Dirk there has done a lot of work on Moo, I reckon if you are going to give out badges then he deserves one for that even if he stops for a while, and it might just tempt him to go for the 100M - though I think he is doing that anyway ;-)

Just look at what most of the other badge projects are doing! :-)
