really didnt realise my stats were as high as they were.didnt try app config though, did it as app info.xml, and it never saw it.ill give it a try the other way and see what it does.like you said, probably wont get to much more out of it,got the wu running just under 14 minutes on the huge ones,as it is.if i could shave another minute or so off, that would be nice.

just for curiosity i change drivers back to 13.4,no change still got the gpu and memory clocks bouncing like pinball machines, activity bounces as well, not steady.tried playing one of my graphic intense games, shows the same thing activity wise as well as the clocks, very unstable.so i think ive ruled out it being boinc.i tried varying the voltage at the bottom of ccc,+or- 2,didnt make any differance.ive googled this problem, wording it several differant ways, all im findig is alot of people having trouble with 7790 cards, and not a lot of answers.

replace my failed 6770 ,with a 7790.card is unstable to the point of useless.gpu and memory clocks float constantly, and have little to no activity showing.any ideas on how to make this thing straighten up and fly right?

think i found the problem.was running constellation, for what ever reason it was using some java script, which was causing the cpu to go haywire.cancelled all wu on it and the cpu straightened out as well as the gpu started behaving.needless to say, wont be running that program anymore.

most likely fragmented wu causing your problem.saw a post today about they are rerunning a bunch of the fragmented stuff.just grin and bear it.was a little worried myself, cause mine started acting up today as well.just let'em run,and sooner or later we will get back to the good stuff.
