If I downclock my card the tasks take longer to run and and granted credits increase. The average credits per second/day doesn't change regardless how slow my card runs.

The amount of work being done is known and deterministic, so fixed credits should be calculated based on the work done.

Hi,

I'm beginning to agree with this change. That new credit system seems a mess and granted credit is still varying way too much for my taste. :(

I should be able to easily switch to static credit based on work in a work unit. This method seems to be supported by the system.

it's way DA want's it, and we all could save a lot of energy by running our cards in low power mode.. ;)
