as per pic, my gpu usage is bouncing around from 0 to 99%.
normally I wouldn't mind, but it drops to 0 just long
enough for the fans on my Graphics card to drop off as well
and I don't think it will do them any good cycling
constantly like that.
Anyone else have this problem?
<edit> I have now manually set the fans to stop them cycling,
still curious as to what is causing the gpu usage to look like
that. Coding issue?

Hello..I think this will sum it all up...Moo is going thru a seldome problem, wu fragmentation, new app version, ect...So hang in there, keep crunching! Teemu and Moo are top notch! as well as most of the crunchers here, right mikey, zydor?

Double-click on the user defined fan control in Afterburner: settings/fan. This will make the graph a series of steps instead of a continuous control. Adjust the steps so that the fan doesn't constantly change speeds. Works very well here.

Thanks!
I just set the fan control to manual while I crunch.
For some reason, even though the dips in GPU usage
are not long enough for the temps to drop much on the card
the fan dips right down when the gpu usage drops.

Anyway, problem easily fixed. Just hope the usage cycling
like that does not damage the chip!

That's exactly why you would "Enable user defined software automatic fan control" and select the step method. You can set the steps to whatever you like and the fan will only change speed at the steps. Otherwise the fan speed changes continuously. Setting it to manual will not allow the speed to adjust if something happens to seriously escalate the GPU temps.

Be careful putting the fans on manual without babysitting it, if the temps climb you are in trouble.
